Dedicating himself to keyboards, digital pianos, and synthesizers, Bob performed and recorded with a wide array of musicians including Tommy Shaw, Dan Fogelberg, Mark Andes, Larry Stewart, and Rosemary Butler. His musical talent brought him to record at Paragon & Sound Studios in Chicago, Paramount Studios in LA, California, Widget Studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama and Northstar, Applewood, Caribou, and FTM Studios in Colorado.

Bob Chaz Baker began studying jazz with Bill and Ted Alexander in the late 70’s and early 80’s. After attending Living Waters Tabernacle in Denver, Colorado, his gospel influence developed. Today, Bob’s life in faith and music continues at Living Waters Tabernacle. He currently has the pleasure of bringing melody to the church, playing solo piano and accompanying many other church performances. Since then, he’s performed with Liz Story and Lisa Downing at the Cherokee Ranch and Castle in Colorado and played to sold out audiences at the Lone Tree Arts Center, Dazzle Jazz, and Englewood Civic Center. His European tours included performances with artists Mario Santos Lopez, Lisa Downing, and Mine Kawakami.

Bob wasn’t always the incredible pianist he is today. Former jazz trombone player turned keyboard rock musician, Bob Chaz Baker began his performing career voted top trombone soloist at the Wichita Jazz Festival in 1971. In the spring of 1972, Bob joined a group, Smoke Ring, along with Tommy Shaw from Styx. The group soon changed their name to MS Funk after recording in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. After a short tour with Jerry Lee Lewis, Bob was influenced by Jerry Lee to change from playing horns to piano in one statement. “Horn players will come and go but they will always need piano players to Rock ‘n Roll.”

Bob’s latest collection “Here With You,” released in 2018, will transport you to a place where music speaks to the soul without even saying a word. His previous album, “Into His Rest: Grace and Glory VIII,” released in 2015, was a truly blessed creation, made in a raw, one take recording, inspired from the Holy Spirit. Bob’s album, “Christmas Morning,” released in 2014, is a CD that brings it all home and helps you enter into the bliss of a quiet Christmas morning. “The Romance Language of Music,” released in 2013, leaves you in breathless anticipation as seamless stories are told in a way that words never could.

Bob’s music is thrilling, as he has a natural feel for a variety of genres influenced by his Filipino/Irish multi-racial background as well as his experience in classical, jazz, rock and gospel. So, immerse yourself into the creation of Bob Chaz Baker, and please enjoy.
